With a career spanning more than 40 years, countless trends, and dozens of generations, Def Leppard are on of the more revered bands in heavy rock. Starting out in Sheffield in 1977, the band came up through the burgeoning NWOBHM scene of the time, before reaching arena bothering heights in 1987 with their best selling album to date, Hysteria.
Def Leppard plan to celebrate the anniversary of Hysteria with a huge arena tour later this year, where they will perform the album full. We also have acquired a number of excellent Def Leppard rarities and collectables, and you can see some of the highlights below.
Hysteria: Extremely rare official 1987 UK BPI Certified PLATINUM LP award presented to founder member and guitarist STEVE CLARK to recognise sales in the UK of more than 300,000 copies of the Bludgeon Riffola album. The award features a silver-coloured 12″ disc with picture label mounted above a miniature image of the album artwork and the ‘BPI Certified Sales Award’ dedication plaque, with a mini Union Jack flag in the top left corner.
Mirrorball: Live & More: 2011 Japanese 3-disc [2CD/1DVD] set – ‘Mirrorball’ was recorded across the world over the course of many of the band’s sold-out dates and features all of the classic songs that have made Def Leppard one of themost respected and beloved power rock bands in the world. The album captures the group’s legendary concert experience at its thunderous best, bringing together live versions of classic Leppard hits such as ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’, ‘Rock Of Ages’, ‘Foolin”, ‘Hysteria’, ‘Photograph’ and an incredible rendition of ‘Bringing On The Heartbreak’. With their creative juices at full flow, the band has also added three new studio tracks: ‘Undefeated’, ‘It’s All About Believin” and ‘Kings Of The World’, that are undeniably Def Leppard and take their place with ease within this classic setlist. Complete with a Bonus DVD containing live performances, music videos and intimate backstage footage of the band captured on the road. Picture sleeve with picture booklet, Japanese biography/lyric insert and obi-strip.
Let It Go: Rare 1981 French promotional vinyl 7″ with wide jukebox injection labels, also featuring You Got Me Runnin’, housed in a unique red “Tournee Française’ title sleeve with December gig dates in France for that year. The sleeve shows just a little faint creasing from ring wear [small thumbnail tear in back opening] & the vinyl grades VG with a light warp not affecting play.
