Myles Kennedy announces March 2018 solo tour

Alter Bridge singer Myles Kennedy has announced the highly-intimate Year of the Tiger Acoustic tour.

Following the Friday 9th March release of his debut solo album ‘Year of the Tiger’ via Napalm Records, Myles will play acoustic solo shows in Birmingham, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and London.

Alongside tracks from his album, Myles will be playing stripped back versions of songs that span his career including The Mayfield Four, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators and, of course, Alter Bridge.

Tickets to the tour go on sale from online at 9am on Friday 19th January.

Boasting the album title track, which is currently on the Planet Rock playlist, ‘Year of the Tiger’ is a 12-track concept album that’s inspired by the loss of Myles’ father when he was a young child.

The record sees Myles delve into new musical realms, embracing blues, Americana, country and acoustic sounds and even features influences he hasn’t used in his career so far including the use of lap and steel guitars, mandolin and banjo.

“This record is something I’ve always wanted to make,” says Myles in a statement. ”I’m grateful to Napalm for believing in me enough to get behind it.”

The opening song on the record, the title track showcases these new musical influences and comes complete with a deeply personal and nostalgic video that melds footage of Myles today and as a child with his late father.
