Now That’s What I Call Music planning celebrations for 100th edition

This year will see the release of the 100th edition of the popular compilation series, Now That’s What I Call Music, and some special plans are being put in place to celebrate the milestone.

Now That’s What I Call Music 100 is due for release in July this year, with occasion being marked by a reissue of the very first Now album, and a series of live concerts. Fans will also be asked to help assemble the greatest compilation album of all time.

“Now 100 next July will be a landmark moment in popular culture,” MD Peter Duckworth told inews “We’re planning live events like a NOW 80s concert, other themed shows and television specials.”

“We’re planning to re-release Now 1 with a special edition called Now That’s What I Call NOW! which will have one track from every Now album. The question is how do we choose the best 100 songs in NOW history? Should we ask the public?”

Despite the back and forth nature of the music buying landscape, the Now series has continued to endure, with the most recent edition selling nearly 600,000 units since its release in November.
