At end of 1972/start of 1973, Led Zeppelin went on tour around the UK. It would, sadly, become their last full UK tour, with their five date at Earls Court in 1975 and Knebworth ’79 appearance being their only subsequent UK appearances.
The tour was also not without its problems, and two dates had to be postponed. They were due to perform in Preston and Bradford at the start of January ’73, but due to Robert Plant contracting the flu, after a car that he and John Bonham were travelling in the night before had broken down. These were later rescheduled, and the show went on.
During the tour, a number of show souvenir brochures were produced, and we have recently acquired one for the very first time. It includes a press release, artwork images, and full tour dates including the original listing before the postponed gigs.
This is the first time we have seen this item, and probably the only time we ever well. You can find out more about it in our store, along with further Led Zeppelin collectors’ items.
Check out this short video about the show souvenir below.
