John Carpenter announces new recordings of classic movie themes

Legendary filmmaker and composer, John Carpenter, has announced an anthology of newly recorded versions of some of his classic movie themes.

The album will include iconic themes from Halloween, They Live, Christine, Assault On Precinct 13, and more which were recorded by Carpenter, along with his son, Cody, and godson, Daniel Davies. The anthology follows on from Carpenters recent minimal studio albums, Lost Themes 1 and 2.

To coincide with the announcement, a new recording of the theme from Carpenters 1994 horror movie, In The Mouth Of Madness, can be heard below.

It is due for release on October 20 just in time for Halloween, and is available to pre-order now.
