Rip-Roaring British Jazz 1970 UK first press 5-track stereo LP with matrices ending ‘1W’, the highly admired second album by English saxophonist John Surman, also starring Harry Beckett, Alan Skidmore,Barre Phillips & Tony Oxley & released on the collectable Deram label. Rare 1997 US limited edition 5-track Audiophile 20 bit remastered 24ct Gold CD, originally released in 1962 and recorded in 1957 with Jimmy Knepper, Curtis Porter, Clarence Shaw, Bill Triglia, Danny Richmond, Frankie Dunlop, Ysabel Morel and Lobbie Elder; fold-out picture sleeve with sleeve notes by Charles himsels and Martin Williams, extremely collectable, very hard to find edition of this audiophile quality issue, not to be missed! Ultimate Jazz, rare originals….. Limited edition 1978 Japanese 20-track 10-LP box set of freely improvised piano solo recordings captured live in Japan [see ‘more info’ for dates & venues], housed in a high quality embossed & bound fully textured book which is numbered on the side back cover, with integral Japanese/ picture booklet & 12″ square slipcase. The slipcase reveals only some light foxing around the edges & the vinyl discs are Excellent with just the lightest few signs of play.
