What’s Your Favourite B-Side?

Pete Paphides recently penned a great article on the strange qualities of the ‘B-Side’, from throwaway ditty written in the time it took to perform the song to classic material that really should have been the A-Side no? – You can read the full article on the Vinyl Factory website here

There is many a hidden gem on the flip side of Beatles 7″s, ‘You Can’t Do That’ is no exception – a great snarly voiced Lennon rocker that others would have killed for, more info here
Tucked away on the B-Side of ‘Running Up That Hill’ is ‘Under The Ivy’ a highly charged, emotional two-and-a-bit minutes that’s the equal of anything on ‘Hounds Of Love’, more info here
