Take a look at this! blog.eil.com readers share pics of their record collection………..

Feast your eyes on this little lot! blog.eil.com reader Andy very kindly shared with us some pics of his record collection – always a good thing we say! Andy says he’s been “collecting vinyl since about 1991, shortly after getting his first turntable – prior to that is was cassettes”.

Like a lot of people in the ’90s vinyl took second place as CDs became the preferred choice, however, for Andy vinyl is back with a vengeance which he puts down to the following reasons, “the internet and having the space” (you mean you’ve got enough space?!) and for Andy vinyl is “definitely what I primarily collect now”

Very tasty! That framed NME is from the day Andy was born, nice touch…

So what’s in the collection? The keen eyed will be able to pick out the Iron Maiden First Ten Years on the top shelf, lurking within though is mostly punk and alternative, with US labels Dischord, SST, Alternative Tentacles and Sub Pop featuring heavily, but as Andy notes, “the recent surge in re-releases is great but do I try to buy original pressings when I can find and afford them!” Yup, we know that feeling!

Very nice indeed, If you’d like to show us some pics of your record collection, please email tim.card@eil.com and we’ll share with our readers…..
