THE KINKS The Kink Kontroversy:1965 UK first issue 12-track mono vinyl LP, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. As a nice touch, the previous owner has attached a period review of the album to a blank part of the back of the sleeve. You know how most copies of this album are found, don’t you ? We’ve all seen them. Dog eared, partied to death, scratched every which way. This one isn’t. I’ll repeat that: This one isn’t. The pinched spine is still pinched and still clearly readable. The front retains the ivory colour that it should have and the back shows only the lightest signs of handling with edge scuffing to an absolute minimum. “How’s the vinyl ?”, I hear you scream impatiently. Well, beautiful, would be my reply. It remains easily the nice side of excellent and although it has obviously been played it shows very little sign of it and remains as near ‘as new’ as you’re ever likely to find. To nit pick fault this gem, there is a little sticker residue left from historic cataloguing stickers on the labels and a small pressing deviation at the end of side two that does not affect play in any way. However you look at it, these minor faults are more than outweighed by the package itself. A spectacular one owner copy in incredible condition! This is a one previous owner copy. The sleeve itself remains in superb condition, with the front an as intended shade of ivory & with just the lightest signs of handling on the unlaminated back, with edge scuffing at anabsolute minimum. The heavyweight vinyl too isof equal splendour, showing just the lightest signs of play with just a few light cosmetic hairlines. A fantastic one owner copy of this classic in astonishing condition! Front laminated internal pocket gatefold picture sleeve for the mono edition with an ‘NSPL’ catalogue over sticker on the reverse. This is a one previous owner copy, please see ‘more info’ for details on condition, more info here
