THE SPECIALS Ghost Town Revisited: Rare 1991 UK 7″ vinyl single with 2 Tone paper labels, this reworking of the bands seminal early ’80s single was one of the last releases on the 2 Tone label and has subsequently become very hard to find, also includes Special Productions’ Ghost Dub ’91, picture sleeve. THE SELECTER On My Radio: 1979 Dutch 7″ vinyl single with ‘green’ Chrysalis labels and wide centre, great debut ’45 that wasn’t included on their first LP, backed with a slightly different version of Too Much Pressure, unique ‘2-Tone’ style picture sleeve. More info here
By the time it got to 1985 not everything released on the label was guaranteed hit, this later period release by The Friday Club is one such record, bought in very few numbers at the time, it’s now become quite the 2-Tone collectable – more info here
MADNESS 1979-1995 Singles: Great set of Thirty Two 7″ singles including one EP from the British pop/ska band, along with the two released by the group under the name The Madness, with all pressed for the UK market except The Prince which is a French pressing, each within their own respective picture. All vinyl in this set has been carefully inspected & along with all the sleeves, remain in fabulous condition. Perfect for the well versed completist or a trip down memory lane for the casual fan to pick up the lot in one fell swoop!! Full info here
Phwooaar! The Specials ‘Hey, Little Rich Girl’: This original Japanese issue ’45 from 1980 is highly sought after amongst the 2-Tone fraternity, this track had hit single written all over it – so what did the band do? They went for the wonderful (but pretty damn bleak) Stereotypes as the single everywhere else in the world instead – Yikes! The flip side is International Jet Set and the picture insert sleeve is pretty damn cool too! More info here
