Movers and shakers this week at eil Towers include an official US RIAA Peter Gabriel award, Queen’s long out of print ‘Rock Montreal’ 3LP set, an Australian only 13LP (yes 13!) Eric Clapton boxset, a rare Aussie only Pearl Jam CD single boxset, mega-rare Pink Floyd 1969 Japanese 7″ single….throw in some Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson and a Peter Gabriel acetate and, yes, it’s been quite a week! PETER GABRIEL So: Official US RIAA Certified Platinum Award issued to commemorate American album sales in excess of 1,000,000 units. This expertly framed and glazed award measures 17″x21″ in size, and features a Platinum LP Disc and overlapping cassette shell mounted above the authentic, RIAA hologram custom-etched dedication plaque with art sleeve miniature. PINK FLOYD The Nile Song: Rare original 1969 Japanese 7″ vinyl single, also including Main Theme, wrap-around picture sleeve with a colour still from the film ‘More’ on the front, with Japanese text notes inside and lyrics on the reverse. This isthe first sleeve variant with Main Theme credited on the front of the insert, and the Japanese text above the image of the band, and with a ‘¥400’ price point in the bottom right corner. The insert has minimal wear whilst the vinyl is in ‘nearas new’ condition with very little signs of play. An amazing archive quality copy, and only only second we have ever seen, more info herePEARL JAM Australian CD Singles Box: Mega Rare Australian Exclusive limited edition 12″ x 12″ fold out box set wrapped in authentic Seattle ‘grunge’ cloth, includes the Nine Australian singles of Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, Oceans, Go, Daughter, Animal, Spin The Black Circle and Not For You, also includes a 8″ x 10″ colour concert photograph and a ‘Jeremy’ logo badge, different to the to UK issue! Although not sealed it does still come with the hype stickered shrink and shows very little signs of wear or age, more info here
