Monster rare 1971 UK first press 6-track vinyl LP on the large ‘swirl’ Vertigo label, a one-off British Progressive Rock album steeped in gothic classicism with a swirly organ-driven sound & superb ‘Design Machine’ artwork including a giant skull image on the back of the gatefold, complete with the original ‘swirl’ poly inner.

The gatefold picture sleeve comes in a matte finish with VO Price Code print on the rear. The original ‘0171’ date coded poly inner holds the record. Both sleeves show no tears or writing, & the colours across the outside gatefold remain stunning, with little wear to show for its forty odd years in the wild. This is an Excellent condition, one owner copy.

The matrices in the dead wax of the vinyl end 1Y/1/ 2Y/1. The label design is the very first print with the swirl logo design in large running all the way to the centre spindle hole in the middle.

The vinyl appears in stunning near mint condition with very few signs of play at all in its lifetime. The best copy we’ve ever seen or are ever likely to see!
