Discogs heading to iOS and Android

Discogs, arguably the digital world’s greatest avenue for the purchasing and selling vinyl records, has finally made the official move to mobile.

The new app – soon to be available for iOS and Android – will be a similar structural model to the already available vinyl selling/purchasing app MilkCrate and can “share similar features including the ability to catalogue collections, view marketplace pricing, add to wantlists and search the database for music,” reports The Vinyl Factory.

Current Discogs users will not have to adapt different profiles for mobile use, luckily, as all information store on the site’s home will be instantly transferred for ease of use. However, The Vinyl Record notes that actually purchasing records and contacting sellers may not be possible on the app, which launches early next year.
