Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl arrivals including Underworld, Pantera, Sunny Day Real Estate and more

While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.

UNDERWORLD Dubnobasswithmyheadman: 1993 UK first issue 9-track double vinyl LP, picture sleeve with printed inners. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear, whilst the vinyl is Excellent with the odd light sign of play.

PANTERA Cowboys From Hell: 1990 German 12-track LP, the fifth album by American heavy metal band and their first released on the Atco label. This was seen as the band’s ‘official’ debut by most fans and the band itself as they left behind their glam metal past and began to focus on groove metal, also their first commercially successful album exposing the group’s style to mainstream audiences.
The sleeve has wear to the spine and a little foxing evident, whilst the vinyl is shows light scuffs and hairlines leaving it Very Good – a nice play copy.

SUNNY DAY REAL ESTATE Diary: Rare 1994 German 8-track LP, first press on black vinyl with the lone Sub-Pop label sitting at the bottom of the label. The debut studio album from the highly influential, endlessly imitated alternative rock band. A crucial release for the development of midwest emo. Building on what Rites Of Spring and Embrace initiated; a tighter, more structured and commercially viable release. Paving the way for everything from Jimmy Eat World to Title Fight. Housed in a hype-stickered single pocket picture sleeve with texture printed insert. The sleeve only shows a small amount of edgewear and the vinyl displays a few sparse cosmetic scuffs, none of which can be felt to the touch and would not have any real impact on play – An excellent example.
