Andrew Hill Point Of Departure - 1st - NY vinyl LP album (LP record) US A2TLPPO675398

ANDREW HILL Point Of Departure (1964 US first press 5-track mono LP on the ‘New York USA’ address label, with the ‘ear’ markings & the ‘Van Gelder’ stamps in the run-outs. This is still one of the ultimate Blue Note dates that pointed the way to the future for jazz, with expert backing from Eric Dolphy, Joe Henderson, Richard Davis & Anthony Williams. The cover grades VG with light natural discolouring, light edge scuffing & all text is legible – still with Mecolico import sticker to back. The heavyweight vinyl grades VG+ & displays light cosmetic wear on both sides but this has little effect on play. A nice example & as a first issue, this is a must own for the Blue Note collection BLP4167).

Grant Green Sunday Mornin' - 1st - Mono vinyl LP album (LP record) US GR-LPSU846979

GRANT GREEN Sunday Mornin’ (Rare 1962 US 6-track mono LP on the Blue Note label with the ‘New York USA’ address on both sides, Van Gelder stamp in the run-outs aswell as the Plastylite P (ear) etching. Comes housed in a heavy card, pasted picture sleeve with the original Blue Note catalogue inner sleeve. The sleeve shows some very minor signs of age related wear with a few tiny spots of discolouration though nothing too excessive in the slightest. All text is bold and legible on the reverse and the spine. The back paper panel has suffered a small tear in one corner. A conservative very good grading, leaning more towards excellent. The vinyl displays some very light cosmetic ‘wisps’ and a small manufacturing bubble on the track ‘Exodus’. Upon a test play; It is a consistently clean play with some very faint crackling evident and we counted 3 small pops but no skips. A very clean and well looked after example of this underrated Jazz guitar classic BLP4099).

Tonton Macoute Tonton Macoute - EX vinyl LP album (LP record) UK 3TMLPTO736866

TONTON MACOUTE Tonton Macoute (Rare 1971 UK 7-track vinyl LP of British jazz-rock with blues and psych touches, revered by the prog intelligentsia, housed in a superb Keef-designed matt gatefold picture sleeve which was printed & made by the EJ Day Group. The sleeve shows a degree of shelfwear with a small sticker mark on the front and a bit of edge scuffing, yet the spine is clearly legible and the inside print is immaculate. The vinyl remains in excellent condition with just a few light cosmetic surface scuffs to show for fifty years. A nice copy at an advantageous price NE4).
