Memorabilia has always been a big part of the music world, going back right back to the advent of record shops. Whether it was promotional only material that was distributed by labels, or weird and wonder items manufactured by the bands or labels for general sale, they make for nice collector’s pieces and can really finish off a collection.
We see all kind of memorabilia pass through our hands and below are just a few of the highlights that we have in stock at eil.com
FAITH NO MORE Fully Autographed Ticket Stub (Vintage 1989 UK 10.5cm x 8.5cm ticket for the US alternative metal bands show on Friday 13th October at the Ayr Pavillon. It has been Fully Signed in ballpoint pen by the classic line-up fromThe Real Thing era, of Mike Patton [Signed ‘OI MATE’ Michael Patton’], Jim Martin, Billy Gould and Roddy Bottum on the back, and Mike Bordin on the front. The signatures were obtained on the night, after a couple of fans finagled their way backstage to meet the band. Finding autographed items from this line up of the band is becoming increasingly more difficult, and is the first set of these signatures we have had in a long time. It will make a fantastic addition to any Faith No More collection).
THE ROLLING STONES The Rolling Stones Book – Number 08 to 24 (1964-1966 UK set of seventeen consecutive 6″ x 8″ issues of The Rolling Stones Book, numbers 08 to 24 from January 1965 to May 1966 with each issue being approximately thirty two pages, covering the landmarks in Rolling Stones history from the peak of the Brian Jones years, including pictures, letters, reviews, lyrics and much much more! The covers have light wear, whilst some range to Near mint. However all issues remaininsuperb condition with no loose pages, rips or staining – a truly fascinating collection!).
GENESIS Wind and Wuthering (1976 Original promotional poster for the release of Genesis’ Wind and Wuthering, measuring 30 inches in length and 20 in width. There’s four perferations from staples – Two on the top corner and two just above the bottom corners. Three small spots of discolouration along the middle folded crease. The post has remained in remarkable condition for its years, showing little evidence of wear despite the imperfections mentioned. The edges remain crisp and thecolours remain bold. Would look amazing framed!).
