CHARLEY PATTON Screamin’ And Hollerin’ The Blues (Amazing 2001 UK SEVEN CD high quality box set designed to look like a book set of 78RPM records, containing all of the recordings made between 1929 and 1934 by the Mississippi singer andguitarist for such legendary labels as Vocalion & Paramount. Inside the wonderful 12″ x 10½” embossed & textured slipcase box is a bound book. Inside this book, the wonders continue with a facsimile of the pocket book about him by John Fahey,then over one hundred full size pages giving biography & discography information, replicas of the original adverts that featured on the 78 sleeves, then page after page of stickers of the 78RPM labels for the featured tracks. The CDs themselves are mounted on cardboard replicas of old 78s, slipped into replicas of the original paper sleeves and bound into the sumptuous book-like album. Not only Charley but also recordings that influenced him & those by his contemporaries are featured. Indeed, one reviewer described this as the best put together box set that they had ever seen – Fantastic! The box, contents and discs are ‘as new’).
IRON MAIDEN Brave New World (Rare 2000 UK limited edition 10-track Double LP Picture Disc set, the twelfth studio album by the English heavy metal band, known for the return of Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith, featuring the singles TheWicker Man & Out Of The Silent Planet, glossy gatefold picture sleeve with artwork by Derek Riggs & Steve Stone, including lyric & credit printed inners. Although not sealed this example remains in fantastic condition showing minimal wear andvery little evidence of actually seeing a turntable. An outstanding copy of this now very rare and long out of print pressing).
THE CLASH From Here To Eternity (Rare 1999 UK 17-track double vinyl LP, a live compilation album of material recorded between 1978 & 1982, including some recordings featured in the movie Rude Boy, glossy gatefold picture sleeve with printed inners. The sleeve displays minimal wear and the inners have no splits or rips, whilst the vinyl looks barely played. A fantastic example and the first we have ever seen).
