Brand new vinyl only collection just in at eil from legendary cult figure Billy Childish. With over 125 (yes, 125!!) albums to his name the musician, artist, poet and polymath Billy Childish (William Charlie Hamper to his Mum) has been releasing records since 1977 up to the present under a vast array of pseudonyms (Thee Milkshakes, Buff Medways, Thee Mighty Headcoats, Pop Rivets, to name but four) all incorporating Billy’s love of fuzzed out ‘60s Garage, blues, folk and punk.
We will be adding original vinyl LPs, 10” and 7” singles over the coming week to the site. Many of these are long out-of-print original pressings, so keep your eyes peeled……
THEE MIGHTY CAESARS Acropolis Now (Rare 1986 UK 14-track vinyl LP, picture sleeve. Not only is this a prime example of Billy Childish & Co’s supercharged brand of punked up ’60s inspired garage, this example has been signed by the band; Billy Childish, John Gawen and Del, all signatures are on the reverse of the sleeve in blue biro with the dedication ‘To Steve’. The sleeve shows a little edgewear, the vinyl is Excellent with just a few light hairlines not affecting play PLAT-O).
THEE MIGHTY CAESARS Don’t Give Any Dinner To Henry Chinaski… (Rare 1987 UK 10-track vinyl LP, picture sleeve. Very hard-to-find collection of early demos from Billy Childish and Co. The sleeve does shows some corner wear and light shelfwear, the vinyl is Excellent with just some light hairlines not affecting play HANG-3UP).
BILLY CHILDISH I Remember (Rare 1987 UK 12-track vinyl LP, picture sleeve. Excellent, self released solo album which showcases Billy’s take on the blues – it’s raw, primal [and funny too] Medawy Delta Blues! The sleeve has a small split along the top and opening edge [nothing excessive], otherwise excellent, the vinyl looks barely played HANG-13UP).
