Supertramp founder and vocalist Roger Hodgson has announced five headline UK shows as part of his extended Breakfast in America 40th Anniversary World Tour.
Hodgson opens his short trek at Liverpool Empire on Sunday 14th June 2020 and will call in at Glasgow, Birmingham, Brighton and Southend in late June and early July.
Released to critical acclaim in March 1979, Supertramp’s sixth studio album ‘Breakfast In America’ was also a commercial smash achieving Platinum status in the band’s native UK and shifting more than 4 million copies in the US alone.
Roger Hodgson will be performing album tracks like ‘The Logical Song’, ‘Take the Long Way Home’ and ‘Take The Long Way Home’, plus other songs from Supertramp’s distinguished back catalogue including ‘Dreamer’, ‘Fool’s Overture’, ‘School’, ‘Give A Little Bit’ and ‘It’s Raining Again’.
After playing a series of shows in Australia and New Zealand at the start of the year, Hodgson has been touring extensively across Europe throughout 2019 and he performed two sold-out shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall in May.
Also announced, he will play an exclusive London outdoor show at the Live At Chelsea Concert Series on Saturday 13th June 2020.
Tickets to Live At Chelsea go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 22nd November, while Roger’s indoor shows in Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham, Brighton and Southend are on sale tomorrow (Friday 15th November) at 10am.
Celebrating its sixth year in 2020, Live At Chelsea once again takes place at the stunning surroundings of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in West London, home of the Chelsea Pensioners.
Live At Chelsea will be Roger Hodgson’s first London date since his triumphant two-night stint at the world-famous Royal Albert Hall this past May.
