Scottish indie band, Snow Patrol, have announced their long awaited new album, Wilderness, which is their first in 7 years.
It will be released on May 25 through Republic, and the band have unveiled a brief teaser video to go along with the announcement.
“There are many types of wildness, but I think it can be distilled into two: the wildness of the modern age, all it’s confusion, illogic and alienation and a more ancient wildness,” said vocalist Gary Lightbody. “Something primal, alive and beautiful that speaks to our true connectivity, our passion, our love, our communion with nature and each other. This is the kind of wildness the album is centered around. The loss of it. Trying to reconnect with it. To remember it.”
It follows on from their 2011 album, Fallen Empire, and pre-orders are available through Snow Patrol’s official website.
