An interesting rumour for Glastonbury 2019 has appeared…

The rumour mill for Glastonbury is constantly churning, and even with the festival not taking this place in 2018 due to a fallow year and interesting name has already been thrown into the hat for 2019.

Roy Orbison’s son, Alex, has said that he would love for his late father to appear at Worthy Farm in hologram form. Orbison passed away in 1988, but thanks to the ever increasing technology, a Glastonbury appearance isn’t out of the question.

“We would love to see Roy play Glastonbury, that would be the ultimate,” Alex told The Sun. “This show would be perfect for that audience. The technology is moving so fast. At first we were told we could only play theatres, so we could control the interplay of the light. But now the Orbison hologram can play an outdoor festival, even in daylight, and it will still look good.”

Glastonbury will return on June 26-30, 2019, with Emily Eavis stating that there some “radical changes” in the works for the festival’s return.
