Hawkwind announce ‘At The Roundhouse’ live album
Recorded at Hawkwind’s show at the Chalk Farm venue on Friday 26th May of this year – their first performance there in four decades – ‘At The Roundhouse’ boasts all 20 songs the band played on the landmark night.
The set-list melded highlights from Hawkwind’s last two studio albums ‘The Machine Stops’ and ‘Into The Woods’ with classics from the band’s past including, of course, ‘Silver Machine’ – the defining song they famously recorded at The Roundhouse some 45 years ago.
Motörhead’s Phil Campbell guest performed on the encore performances on the night; ‘Brainbox Pollution’ and ‘Silver Machine’.
“Yes, it was really good fun playing back at The Roundhouse,” says Hawkwind lynchpin Dave Brock. “After not playing there since 1977 (when we had Motörhead support us), it brought back many fine memories for me. Great venue!”
Following the 2CD/DVD deluxe box set release of ‘At The Roundhouse’ on Friday 8th December via Cherry Red Records, a multi-disc vinyl edition will follow early in 2018.
Costing £19.99, you can pre-order the album right here.
