Solo records from Agnetha and Frida, plus a Benny & Bjorn classic LP will arrive this July.
ABBA fans, you’ll have a new reason to say Thank You For The Music this summer as new coloured vinyl versions of solo albums from ABBA stars have been announced.
Six new records will be released on July 28 and are now available to pre-order on Amazon, ensuring you will have a perfect reason to part with your Money Money Money.
Three Frida solo albums are being remastered and re-released in an array of colours, while two of Agnetha’s projects will get a similar treatment. Universal are also putting out one of Benny & Bjorn’s albums that they recorded as a duo.
Frida’s second studio album Frida Ensam will be newly available in white, while 1982’s Something’s Going On will be pressed in a violet tone for the very first time, and Shine from 1984 will be released in green. Following each colour’s limited run, the albums will be widely available in a classic black look.
Loving the gloves Frida.
The two Agnetha LPs given limited edition treatment are Wrap Your Arms Around Me which will be pressed on hot pink, and Eyes Of A Woman in red. The Benny & Bjorn long-player that will receive an all new blue and yellow version is Lycka, the album the two released in 1970 before forming ABBA.
This news follows that ABBA Gold, the second best-selling album ever in the UK, will transition to the world of vinyl for the very first time on June 30. The colour of the disc? You guessed it, gold!
