ERIC DOLPHY Out To Lunch: 1977 UK stereo issue of the classic 5-track LP from 1964, also featuring Freddie Hubbard on Trumpet, Bobby Hutcherson on Vibes, Richard Davis on Bass & Tony Williams on Drums, picture sleeve reproducing the original album artwork. The sleeve on this copy shows some light shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing whilst the vinyl looks barely played.
BOB JAMES Two: 1975 Japanese sample 6-track vinyl LP with custom promotional white labels, featuring guest vocals from Patti Austin – this became a heavily sampled album in hip hop over the years, particularly the drum breaks on ‘Take Me to the Mardi Gras’, but regardless still holds up as a fine slice of fusion today, gatefold picture sleeve with Japanese insert and obi-strip. Despite some signs of ‘foxing’ inside the gatefold sleeve, the sleeve shows just light wear and the vinyl is Near Mint.
JOHN COLTRANE Ascension: 1968 US two-part Stereo vinyl LP on the black with red borders ABC/Impulse! label, with ‘Van Gelder’ stamped & ‘edition II’ etched into the run-out grooves, using the first recording session which plunges head first into freeform avant-garde taking no prisoners, heavy card gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little shelfwear fading and the vinyl is Near Mint.
