Memorabilia has always been a big part of the music world, going back right back to the advent of record shops. Whether it was promotional only material that was distributed by labels, or weird and wonder items manufactured by the bands or labels for general sale, they make for nice collector’s pieces and can really finish off a collection.
We see all kind of memorabilia pass through our hands and below are just a few of the highlights that we have in stock at eil.com
JEFF BECK Beck01: Rare 2016 UK limited edition 352 page hard back book printed on Heavyweight 200gsm archival grade matt art paper, quarter bound by hand in Italian leather and aluminium, with silver page edging and hand tooling. A stamped metal front cover reproduces a Californian number plate from the year Beck was born, inset into the cover. The large format book is housed in an archival case, featuring a foil-blocked illustration inspired by Von Dutch’s legendary pinstriping designs. These were limited limited to 2,000 copies, and this example is number numbered 799, hand signed by Jeff Beck, with a special printed pull string bag. This example remains in a fantastic condition, and remains in the original card mailer!
MADONNA Adore: 2021 UK limited first edition 152-page hardback art book by Kenji Wakasugi, featuring over 100 previously unseen photographs of Madonna taken by the renowned Japanese photographer during her 1985 visit to Tokyo. Published in a limited run of just 700 numbered copies. This beautifully produced large-format volume is presented in a pale blue hardback cover with striking yellow obi-style wrap printed with Madonna’ in Japanese katakana. Complete with a Certificateof Authenticity, numbered and individually hand-signed by Kenji. A highly sought-after collector’s item documenting a unique portrait session from the peak of Madonna’s mid-80s stardom.
BIG BIG TRAIN The Likes Of Us – Signed Tour Drum Skin: Rare 2024 UK limited tour-only fully autographed 12″ clear Evans EC2 SST 18″ bass drum head taken straight from Nick D’Virgilio’s kit. This unique piece, obtained at The Stables, Milton Keynes on 24th September 2024, was one of only a handful made available at select shows whenever the occasion arose for Nick to swap out his used skins, have them fully signed backstage, adding his own distinctive signature – complete with a smiley-face bass drum doodle plus the album title and date – and passing them to the merch stand. Boldly signed by all seven band members including founder Greg Spawton, Rikard Sjöblom, Clare Lindley, Alberto Bravin, Oskar Holldorff, Paul Mitchell, and the maestro D’Virgilio [of Genesis & Spock’s Beard fame] himself, this is a stunning one-off display centrepiece and an outstanding collectable for any Big Big Train or modern prog fan.
