ORNETTE COLEMAN Round Trip: Ornette Coleman On Blue Note (2022 limited edition Blue Note Tone Poet Series 6-LP box set, mastered from the original analogue tapes by Kevin Gray at Coherent Audio, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI. Containing all six albums featuring Coleman that were recorded for Blue Note Records, including his five albums as a leader-the two-volume At The ‘Golden Circle’ Stockholm (1965), The Empty Foxhole (1966), New York Is Now! (1968), and Love Call (1968) – as well as his lone sideman appearance on New And Old Gospel (1967) by fellow saxophonist Jackie McLean. PHAROAH SANDERS Tauhid (Rare 1967 first Canadian issue 4-track STEREO LP on the black Impulse label, Pharoah’s Impulse label debut produced by Bob Thiele & engineered by Rudy Van Gelder. Comes housed in the original heavyweight US printed gatefold sleeve, which is front laminated & pasted internally. The cover is Excellent with sturdy panels and rich vibrant colours. The vinyl appears ‘as new’ A-9138)
ALBERT AYLER TRIO Spiritual Unity (1969 first UK issue of the 1965 4-track mono LP, one of the crowning achievements in ‘Free Jazz’, instantly propelling Ayler to fame in avant-garde circles. Also features the stream-of-consciousness playing of Gary Peacock on Bass & Sunny Murray on Drums, fully laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve and vinyl are both easily Near Mint; the sleeve still shows a beautiful sheen with only the lightest glimpse of ringwear whilst the vinyl looks barely played! Highly recommended SFJL933)
