JOHN COLTRANE Lush Life (1961 UK first issue 5-track mono LP on the Esquire label, featuring different cover from the usual purple tinted artwork. Assembled from three separate recording sessions in 1957 & ’58, this is a wonderful collection of hard bop tunes which includes Coltrane’s masterful interpretation of the Billy Strayhorn title tune. The sleeve shows most of its more notable wear on the reverse with 3″ of the bottom flipback removed, a wide seam split on the bottom edge, some paper loss obscuring only a few words of the extensive liner notes and a little bit of wear to the opening edge. Despite this the vinyl remains in excellent condition showing minimal wear and no obvious signs that indicate considerable play 32-129).
ART PEPPER CD Album Collection (A collection of 24 CD albums, including studio releases, live recordings, jams and collaborations includes Tokyo Debut, Friday Night At Village Vanguard, Complete Discovery-Savoy Takes, Meets The Rhythm Section,Laurie’s Choice, Art ‘N’ Zoot, The 1975 Garden State Jam Sessions, Live At Donte’s 1968, Among Friends, Four Classic Albums, Pepper Returns, The Return Of Art Pepper, Modern Art, The Art Of Pepper, Complete 1947-51 Small Group Studio Recordings, Saturday Night At Village Vanguard, The Way It Was!, Art Pepper Neon Art Vol1 &3, Marty Paich Sessions, Jazz Manifesto, Complete Straight Ahead Sessions, Unreleased Art Vol III and Original Jazz Classics Collection – Phew!).
HEAD (JAZZ) Blackpool Cool (Rare 1977 UK first press 6-track stereo LP, with John Davies, Gordon Cruickshank, Lachlan MacColl, Graham Mince and Bill Kyle. A nice combination of early Nucleus with a little more of a rock sensibilty, front laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl appears barely played HSLP333333333C).
