If you were still buying vinyl in the ‘90s, you probably didn’t think that one day albums by Oasis, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, and countless others would be worth far more than you paid for them. While a lot of iconic albums from that time have seen high quality reissues, there’s no substitute for finding original pressings from the era. It’s not that sort of things that comes through doors every day here at eil.com, and when they do, they don’t stay for long.
The three titles below are just a taste of the ‘90s rarities we have in stock, and you can find the full catalogue at eil.com.
JESUS & MARY CHAIN Honey’s Dead (1992 UK 12-track LP, featuring the singles Rollercoaster, Far Gone & Out & Reverence. The picture sleeve displays some light edge scuffing and a little general wear; the labels have a few light spindle marks and the vinyl has just a few light surface scuffs – an excellent example BYN26).
SUEDE Suede (1993 UK first press 11-track LP, their classic debut album including So Young, Animal Nitrate, Metal Mickey & The Drowners, housed in the original glossy picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve [VG] shows some light edge scuffing and ringwear; the inner has some light foxing; the vinyl has a few light surface scuffs. A very respectable copy. Essential 90s Indie/Britpop! NUDE1LP).
TINDERSTICKS The First Tindersticks Album (Scarce original 1993 UK Rough Trade 22-track double LP, including Milky Teeth & City Sickness & the exclusive track ‘Fruitless’, gatefold picture sleeve with internal pocket & black die-cut inners. The cover shows only a little faint cosmetic wear & some mild spine creasing & the vinyl discs are near mint).
