From Planet Rock.
The Darkness are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their blockbuster debut album ‘Permission to Land’ with a world tour.
The global trek will see Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain and Rufus Taylor perform the multi-million selling album in its glorious 11-track entirety including ‘Growing On Me’, ‘Love Is Only A Feeling’, ‘Giving Up’, ‘Love On The Rocks With No Ice’, ‘Get Your Hands Off My Woman’, and ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’.
The band will also perform a bonus ‘Best Of The Rest’ set featuring musical gems from their subsequent six studio albums.
The Darkness’ first wave of ‘Permission to Land’ 20th anniversary tour dates take place this November on mainland Europe.
The 13-date trek visits Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, France and Holland, with more shows around the planet, including the UK, to be announced soon.
Tickets to the European dates go on sale at 9am on Friday 24th March.

Justin Hawkins says in his idiosyncratic style: “When Permission to Land landed, twenty short years ago, we were bathed in shock and awe. As if by magic, Rock wasn’t dead! Fun wasn’t banned! And Spandex was almost acceptable again…
“Well, guess what? Twenty years on, the same rules apply. So please to squeeze yourselves into those inappropriate leggings, back-comb your mullet, splash on a big handful of attitude, and come celebrate with us! We promise everything and we deliver, every time. Bring on the next twenty!
“The Darkness. The best. For you. Forever.”
Alongside the world tour, The Darkness will be unleashing an expanded deluxe edition of ‘Permission to Land’ via Warner Music later this year.
