Well, in a nutshell, it’s an audio format pressed to help enhance the sound quality, be that on vinyl or Compact Disc.
The idea being the heavier the vinyl pressing, the better. There have been pressings released from 120 up to 200 Gram in weight, usually the 200 Gram will play at 45rpm providing a better audio experience, instead of the standard 33 1/3rpm.
Compact Discs have various different formats, gold was used in the earlier pressing as it supposedly provided a better a clearer sound reproduction.
Mobile Fidelity are known for being one of the leaders in producing vinyl and CDs of an audiophile grade, with the original releases now highly collectable.
We now have Super Audio CDs, SHM-CD providing a high-fidelity-audio, Blu-Spec CDs using Blu-ray technology, along with DVD-Audio using DVD technology, both providing surround sound audio.

Housed in a unique gatefold picture sleeve variant with ‘4 channel’ logo in the top right corner, plus 32-page lyric / biography / picture booklet, Japanese Quad insert and wide bronze obi-strip. The sleeve displays just a little light edgewear, the obi shows lightsigns of handeling otherwise little wear or signs of agealong with the booklet & insert. The labels are very clean with only a couple of light spindle marks, the vinyl has a small pressing fault on the first track on both sides, however this is cosmetic and has no effect on play and looks barely played. Executively produced by Stuart Price, with a list of songwriters including Calvin Harris, Jake Shears, Nerina Pallot and Keane’s Tim Rice-Oxley, featuring the singles All The Lovers, Get Outta My Way and Better Than Today. Housed in a stunning picture sleeve – still shrink sealed from new!).QUEEN The Queen Studio Collection (2021 UK/EU Deluxe Edition Box Set comprising all fifteen studio albums pressed on 180-gram Coloured Vinyl, originally released in 2015 and digitally remastered at Abbey Road Studios from the original master tapes.
