Jazz is one of the most influential, timeless and enduring genres in music. The structuring and songwriting styles from jazz has been used in other genres such as rock, metal, hip hop and funk throughout the years. It can range from subtle and relaxing, to eclectic free jazz freakouts and has something for every music fan. We scour collections to find both iconic releases and rare obscurities to give our customers a wide range to choose from.
The three highlights we have picked out below are just the tip of the iceberg from our selection, which can be viewed in full over at eil.com

ORNETTE COLEMAN Round Trip: Ornette Coleman On Blue Note (2022 limited edition Blue Note Tone Poet Series 6-LP box set, mastered from the original analogue tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearant Audio, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI. Conatining all six albums featuring Coleman that were recorded for Blue Note Records, including his five albums as a leader-the two-volume At The ‘Golden Circle’ Stockholm (1965), The Empty Foxhole (1966), New York Is Now! (1968), and Love Call (1968)-as well as his lone sideman appearance on New And Old Gospel (1967) by fellow saxophonist Jackie McLean. MARSUPILAMI Marsupilami (Rare 1970 UK 6-track LP on the Transatlantic Records label, the debut album from the progressive rock band from Taunton, UK; housed in a textured picture sleeve printed by MacNeill Press Ltd. The sleeve on this exampleis in a really nice condition, with just one very light crease and minimal wear to the edges. The labels are very clean with only a couple of very light spindle marks present, and the vinyl is very clean, showing minimal signs of play. A fantastic example and only the second copy we have ever seen TRA213).
SKIN ALLEY Skin Alley (Mega rare 1969 UK first press 9-track stereo LP on the plain orange label with A1/B1 matrices, housed in a matte black & white picture sleeve complete with the company catalogue inner. This West London quartet were regulars on the late sixties free party/festival circuit, sharing the same management as High Tide, The Trees & Hawkwind – it’s an ‘ahead-of-the-curve’ debut longplayer, blending prog/rock with heavy jazz ‘n’ blues influences, top playing throughout from sax/flute player Bob James & keyboardist Krzysztof Juskiewicz. The album went largely unnoticed by the record buying public & sold in tiny quantities & is now hugely sought after. The matt picture sleeve has some some minor ring wear & some age discolouration, nothing excessive & remains free of any unsightly rips, tears, writing etc. The vinyl is superb, just a couple of very faint paper scuffs/hairlines visible when held under strong light & appears barely played – a top ’60s collectible & only the third copy we’ve ever offered for sale in over thirty years trading, pheew! S63847).
