TONTON MACOUTE Tonton Macoute (Rare & In-Demand Original 1971 UK Neon label 7-track vinyl LP featuring a slice of British jazz-rock with touches of blues and psych, revered by the prog intelligentsia. The superb Keef-designed matt gatefold picture sleeve was printed & made by the EJ Day Group and displays only minimal wear with some light edge scuffing, yet the spine is clearly legible and the inside print immaculate. The vinyl remains in a fantastic condition, with very little signs of play, and the labels have no spindle marks – Recommended! NE4).
THE JAZZ COURIERS The Last Word (Rare & desirable British Jazz 1959 UK deep groove mono LP on Tempo, recorded June 26 & July 3, 1959 & featuring seven of the group’s most requested tunes, released after their demise. Stars Tubby Hayes & RonnieScott on Tenor Sax, Terry Shannon on Piano, Kenny Napper on Bass & Phil Seamen on Drums, billed as ‘the finest small group of its kind in the country’ upon release, fully laminated flipback picture sleeve. ORNETTE ’59 Lenox School Of Jazz (Strictly limited editions 1970s Italian issue of the 1959 US privately pressed 11-track vinyl LP, the legendary fund-raising record for the summer Jazz camp, featuring the cream of Jazz including Jimmy Giuffre, Gary McFarland, Al Kiger, Attila Zoller & Ran Blake. The picture sleeve shows just a little sun fading to the top and spine with minimal sign of wear. The vinyl has a little cosmetic mottling on side A with just a light hairline across Jingles, otherwise displays very little sign of play leaving it Excellent – A stunning copy of a mythical Jazz beast!
