Sea Shanties by High Tide is a very rare 1969 first UK issue 6-track stereo vinyl LP on the blue & turquoise Liberty label, described as one of the first ‘progressive metal’ albums from the UK.
What ever the case, this is dirty fuzzed-up, psychedelicrock of the highest order, & certainly one of the heaviest of the late sixties to come from these shores. Features Tony Hill [of The Misunderstood] on detuned fuzz duties, plus Simon House [later Hawkwind] on violin.
The gatefold sleeve looks stunning, especially the full colour spread inside with some discoluration showing to the mostly white cover, otherwise holds up superbly, in excellent condition. The vinyl is super clean leaving it Near Mint. Auction terms such as ‘monster’ & ‘killer’ were invented for records like this one!
