Gong are to have an archive live album from 1974 released following the discovery of a new mixing desk recording. Live At Longlaville 27/10/1974 will be released through the Madfish label on December 10.
The two-disc set was recorded following the release of the band’s fifth studio album You, the third and final part of the band’s acclaimed Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, featuring material from You and 1973’s Angel’s Egg, as well as Steve Hillage’s Solar Musick Suite, a track that would not appear on record until 1975, when Fish Rising was released. Live At Longlaville 27/10/1974 is taken from a sound desk recording. Despite playing something in the region of 150 live shows in 1974, very few recordings of the band over this period exist.

GONG Live Etc (1977 UK 16-track double live LP, recorded between 1973 & 1975, including a 1974 BBC recording featuring Steve Hillage, housed in a fantastic die-cut silvered sleeve with full colour picture inners. The sleeve is fully intact with a few signs of edgewear and creasing, the vinyl has some paper scuffs and minor hairlines but nothing that affects play! A great copy of a Gong favourite! VGD3501)

GONG Camembert Electrique (1974 UK black & white 'Two Virgins' label 11-track LP, a highly memorable early effort from the planet Gong, recorded in 1971 with the voice of 'radio gnome', matt picture sleeve. The sleeve has some notable wear with light ringwear and scuffing with a little paper loss to the edges; the bottom right corner has also been repaired with tape. The vinyl has the odd paper mark but few signs of play. A respectable play copy of a Gong favourite VC502)
