From Loudersound.
Prog legends Gentle Giant have released a mind-warping visualizer video for His Last Voyage which you can watch below. The track is taken from the new Steven Wilson remix of the band’s 1975 album Free Hand, which is out now.
“The video uses a unique AI software algorithm to create a set of abstract visuals,” the band explain of the video, which has appeared on the Gentle Giant YouTube channel.
Free Hand was Gentle Giant’s seventh album, originally released in July 1975. It was the most commercially successful of the band’s career reaching the Top 40 album chart in Billboard Magazine. It stands as the culmination of the band’s maturity, following the successes of In A Glass House and The Power And The Glory.
Wilson has remixed Free Hand (as he did with the reissue of The Power And The Glory in 2014). Wilson’s remixed version of Free Hand will be released in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround sound and accompanied by custom animated visuals for each track on Blu-ray.
In addition, the original flat mix, original 1975 quad mix and an instrumental mix will all be included in a digipak CD. A double vinyl album will also be released with both the original flat mix and the Steven Wilson remixed version. The initial first pressing will include a limited edition transparent red version.
Gentle Giant have previously released video for the track Free Hand.

GENTLE GIANT Acquiring The Taste (1971 first UK issue 8-track vinyl LP on the Vertigo 'swirl' label. This album took the band into more experimental & darker areas but is still their own recognisable sound - a rich blend of hard rock & orchestration - with hints of influences from King Crimson & Van Der Graaf Generator, housed in a gatefold picture sleeve with the poly lined 'swirl' die-cut inner. The sleeve displays some minor general wear with some edge & corner scuffing, and hassome strange blank ink marks on the back, but still pretty damn good considering it was never laminated. The labels have a few light spindle marks and light signs of age, whilst the vinyl has only a few light signs of play. Overall a Very Good example, making an ideal play copy)

GENTLE GIANT Octopus (Rare 1972 UK first press 8-track LP on the Vertigo 'swirl' label, housed in a Roger Dean designed gatefold picture sleeve, complete with the die-cut poly-lined 'swirl' inner. The sleeve displays just some minor general wear with minimal discolouring & corner or edge wear, the spine print is clearly legible. The labels have a few spindle marks whilst the vinyl remains clean with only a few light surface scuffs & hairlines not affecting play. Overall this is a VeryGood+ example of this progressive masterpiece!)

GENTLE GIANT Gentle Giant (Mid 70s UK second issue of the debut 1970 7-track LP on the 'spaceship' Vertigo label, the innovative first album from the Shulman brothers & co, including the big-riff laden opener, Giant, & staple, longterm live set regulars, Funny Ways & Isn't It Quiet And Cold, featuring the late, first drummer Martin Smith, housed in the brilliant 'Giant with band in hands' gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little light general wear whilst the vinyl displays faint hairlines, which have no real impact on play)
