Its hard to imagine a music world without The Beatles. They were, arguably, the most influential band of all time, and haven written some of the best pure pop songs. There was nothing too flashy about the music of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, but it was new, original, and spoke to a generation in a way that it would stay with them for the rest of their lives.
To this day, The Beatles are one of the most collectable bands, continually making new fans that are in search of rare vinyl and memorabilia. You can see just a small selection of the highlights we currently have in stock below, and browse our full catalogue at eil.com.
THE BEATLES CD Singles Collection (Rare 1989 Japanese limited edition box set containing 22 x 3″ CD singles each housed in their own individual 3″ card gatefold picture sleeve with individual fold-out lyric inserts plus a 24-page A-B tracklisting booklet . Housed in a gold embossed black flip-top box this includes its own booklet and complete with the original obi-strip. The box has only some very light scuffing and all contents are immaculate – now extremely hard to find complete with the original obi-strip! TODP-2121~42)
THE BEATLES Eskimo Fish Fingers (Super rare 1964 UK Eskimo Fish Fingers in-store counter display card, with all four individual black & white Beatles portrait cards. Wonderful item that was created to advertise a promotional campaign that offeredfree Beatles photo-cards with any purchase of Eskimo Fish Fingers. The display measures 10.5″ x 11.5″ and features four portrait images of the band alongside the promotional text, “Your Favourite Beatle Photo Free” and “Choose One Photo WithEach Pack of Eskimo Fish Fingers”! Included with the display is the complete set of photo cards, measuring 3.5″ x 6″, each black & white image (well it was the first half of the ’60s) includes a facsimile signature and small bio on the reverse – apparently George was once an apprentice electrician and Paul likes Kraft Cheese Slices and girls who can make intelligent conversation! The card display shows some light creasing although nothing excessive and just some very minor discolouration, the postcards show a little age-related wear but no rips, tears or any other unsightly marks. Whilst many of the postcards do turn up this feature display is one the finest known examples to survive – ephemera such as this was never available to the public and the short-term transitory nature of this in-store promotional display guarantees its rarity today. A true Beatles collectors’ item and a wonderful reminder of a time when the country was firmly in the grip of ‘Beatlemania’).
THE BEATLES The Beatles [White Album] (Rare original 1968 MONO 30-track double vinyl LP in top opening fully laminated embossed gatefold sleeve with the incredibly low number of 0000572, complete with fold-out lyric/picture poster, thefour individual band member picture portrait inserts and black inners. THE BEATLES I Want To Hold Your Hand (Super rare 2014 Japanese only 1-track promotional only mono CD, only available to competition winners by sending a postcard from the Japanese Album box set, and was a lottery as to who receives a copy. The disc is printed with the similar design that featured on the 1964 legendary 7″ with the Odeon Records label, housed in a custom card wallet picture sleeve replicating the artwork from the single with ‘Sampler / Not For Sale / PromotionalUse Only’ text on the front, whilst the back promotes the actual Japan Box release, comes with a two page Japanese press release.
