Before the days of the internet and information about artists was able to be shared around at the click of a button, fanzines were the best way to stay up to date with the goings on of your favourite band. Sometimes these were handled by official fan clubs, labels, or even the artists themselves. Some were offered on a subscription basis and others more ad-hoc, available exclusively at concerts. They were essentially the precursor to blogs and fan sites, and now they make for nice collectors pieces.
We just received a superb bundle of Jethro Tull fanzines, which you can see below, along with some other highlights we have in stock that would make for interesting Christmas gifts.
If you are looking for some further great gift ideas, our Christmas store is now open and being updated with new stock daily

IRON MAIDEN Fanzines & T-Shirt (This website exclusive bundle features the five most recent official fan club only fanzines, from December 2018, though 2019 and the most recent issue from 2020, each includes the bonus poster and there are even two of the famous fan club only facsimile signed Christmas Cards. This also includes an unworn large sized fan club only grey t-shirt with the Eddie image used on the Legacy Of The Beast and fanzine #110, still sealed in the bag. GARY NUMAN Into The 80’s (Rare UK early 1980’s 16-page fanzine which gives an account of Gary’s rise to fame, early photographs & an interview which shows the other side of Gary Numan that the public rarely have a chance to see, plus a selection of lyrics – nice!! This copy is in Excellent condition, hard to believe it’s 40 years old!).
ABBA Abba Magazine (Great set of THIRTY-THREE issues of the official A4-size fanzine spanning from Issue No. 9 [1978] to No. 41 [November 1981].
