When you think of memorable movie moments, the soundtracks and scores stand out just as much as the scenes you remember. The Imperial March from Star Wars, the title theme from Jaws, The End by The Doors opening Apocalypse Now, or (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life from the final dance in Dirty Dancing. BARRY GRAY Thunderbirds (2020 UK/EU 37-track 2-LP set pressed on Sky Blue Vinyl and limited to just 750 copies. Gatefold picture sleeve featuring all the characters from International Rescue that youknow and love! Sealed with a rice-paper obi. Following releases of the UFO and Supercar soundtracks, Thunderbirds is the third in the series from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s iconic TV shows. It is newly compiled, mastered and designed by thecreative teamat Fanderson (The Official Gerry and Sylvia Anderson Appreciation Society), who have access to Barry Gray’s original studio tapes. The album features 37 tracks from 19 episodes (series 1 and 2), including the Thunderbirds main theme and closing titles. The tracks were not programmed to follow the episode order but to achieve an integrated listening experience. The best bits of the sixties’ soundscapes are here. The Thunderbirds soundtrack is an effective time capsule as Gray’s music veers into British spy genre, Latin pop, exotica, urban jazz and military marches. Beautifully composed and conducted, the score reflects the moods of the scenes, from dangerous to romantic and no-nonsense to silly. F-A-B !).

BARRY GRAY UFO (2019 UK limited edition 21-track double LP pressed on Lilac Vinyl, featuring the original soundtrack for Gerry Anderson’s live action television show. To complement the series, the Anderson’s frequent musical collaborator Barry Gray created a multi-faceted score that gave the programme its own musical identity. Elegantly crafted and a firm favourite with Barry Gray fans, the sound of UFO, particularly its ethereal ‘World Music’ closing credits is, quite simply, a joy, including the bonus recording Trampoline, performed by The Spencer Davis Group from the episode Ordeal. Both discs are BRAND NEW & unplayed housed within the gatefold picture sleeve which comes with a hype-stickered rice paper belly-band to show that this release was manufactured without shrink wrap SILLP1597).
