What is an autograph?

From Wikipedia, an autograph is a person’s own handwriting or signature. The word autograph comes from Ancient Greek (αὐτός, autós, “self” and γράφω, gráphō, “write”), and can mean more specifically a manuscript written by the author of its content, or a celebrity’s handwritten signature.

TRAVIS U16 Girls – Autographed 1997 UK limited edition 3-track 7″ vinyl single, also including Hazy Shades and Good Time Girls. The picture sleeve has been boldly signed by the four band members in a blue or golden maker pen!

GENTLE GIANT Unburied Treasure – 2019 UK first issue limited deluxe edition box set, the ultimate collection for any fan, includes remastered versions of the TWELVE albums released between 1970 and 1980, along with FIFTEEN concert albums (Seven never previously released, Seven never previously officially released and one previously unavailable on CD), along with Two posthumous live/outtakes albums and a Blu-ray bonus disc featuring a Steven Wilson surround mix of the band’s 1970 debut.Also include a lavish 136-page coffee table hardback book and 96-page tour history book, glossy photograph individually signed by Derek Shulman, Ray Shulman, Gary Green, Kerry Minnear & John Weathers, posters, replica promotional items including a jigsaw (with missing piece on purpose) and much more; all housed in a 12 1/2″ square by 3″ deep picture box, and remains in a ‘near as new’ condition. Limited to only 2000 copies.

SHIRLEY BASSEY Let’s Face The Music – 1963 UK issue of her 1962 12-track MONO vinyl LP on the blue, black & silver Columbia label with the ‘Sold In the UK’ text printed across the middle, including her fabulous renditions of Let’s Face The Music And Dance, Let’s Fall In Love, I Get A Kick Out Of You and many more. The front-laminated flipback picture sleeve has some evidence of shelfwear with a little scuffing to the edges / corners and some laminate lift along the spine however, the unlaminated back has a little age discolouration but has been AUTOGRAPHED ‘Sincerely Shirley’ in black pen and has only light signs of play visible!

BLOSSOMS Charlemagne – 2015 UK limited edition 4-track 10″ vinyl EP, aalso including Across The Moor, Polka Dot Bones and For Evelyn. This is one of the 500 copies available via their fan store which was AUTOGRAPHED by Charlie, Joe, Josh, Myles & Tom on the red, silver & gold foil debossed picture sleeve and then shrinkwrapped and remains sealed ‘as new’ with the vinyl UNPLAYED!).

ASIA From The Asia Archives – Dragon Attack / Live In Hyogo – Pair of official 2003 UK double CD live albums [four disc’s in total], with a total of 36 tracks, each in their own thin double case with picture sleeve & back inlay. Both sleeves have been boldly Autographed by Geoff Downes across the front in a black marker pen.
