Ride handed the entirety of their highly acclaimed 6th studio album, ‘This Is Not A Safe Place’, to mysterious London act Pêtr Aleksänder, who stripped the songs back to just the vocals and added their customarily beautiful string arrangements, keys and synth textures beneath them. Theresults take Ride deep into the neo-classical / ambient territory that a couple of the remixes of their previous album hinted at and will appeal to fans of those musical styles, as well as those who consider themselves a part of the band’s die-hard fanbase. RIDE Going Blank Again (1992 UK Creation Records 10-track double LP, the second album from the influential Oxford-based shoegazers, featuring a pre-Oasis Andy Bell & including the single Leave Them All Behind, glossy gatefold picture sleeve with lyric insert. The sleeve shows a little minor edgewear and the insert has a little foxing, whilst the vinyl has just a couple of minor surface scuffs on side 3. An excellent example CRELP124)
