We’ve selected a few highlights and latest arrivals below, and the full catalogue can be found at eil.com
NEIL ARDLEY / IAN CARR / MIKE GIBBS / STAN TRACEY Will Power – A Shakespeare Birthday Celebration In Music (Rare 1975 UK 8-track double LP recorded at Southwark Cathedral on April 27th 1974 in association with the Arts Council of Great Britain. LARRY YOUNG Into Something (Very rare 1964 US 5-track mono deep groove LP on the New York Blue Note label with VAN GELDER & ‘ear’ etched into the runout grooves on both sides, pasted picture sleeve. Young’s debut for Blue Note is a hard-bop delight featuring Grant Green, Elvin Jones and Sam Rivers on tenor saxophone. The sleeve shows some edge scuffing, discolouration to the reverse and a previous owners name written discreetly in the reverse top left hand corner, however, it is free of rips/tears and al text is clearly legible. The vinyl shows some faint hairlines and scuffs [nothing excessive] and grades a strong VG – play testing reveals no great loss in fidelity. With mint copies regualrly topping the £300 mark, here’s your chance to pick up a more than acceptable play copy at an advantageous price BLP4187).
