This version of Kick Out The Jams by MC5 is an extremely rare, archive quality 1969 Japanese first press 8-track debut live LP on the blue Elektra ‘guitar player’ label, featuring the uncensored version of the classic title track.
Comes housed in a deluxe picture sleeve complete with the super rare & limited wrap-around ‘Series No. 7’ full cover die-cut “obi” [the Japanese title is printed “‘Kick Out Of The Jams'”]. There is no lyric insert as the Japanese album notes are printed on the back of the obi, exactly how this original pressing was first issued. The sleeve, obi and vinyl are all stunning NEAR MINT with no signs of foxing, a near impossible achievement.
There is one tiny blemish of note, which is VERY difficult to spot, even when we tell you what it is. If you look ever so closely to the die-cut sleeve, the most delicate part of the package, there is a tiny 5mm toe part of the ‘K’ missing [yes, it’s a real eye puzzle!].
All in all, a beautiful investment piece. We guarantee you won’t see one as nice as this on the market for many, many years.
