In a bid to provide people with new and exciting music during this trying time, Run The Jewels have unveiled yet another new track this week.
The hip hop duo premiered the old school, east coast flavoured banger, Ooh LA LA, on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, which features Greg Nice and DJ Premier as was recorded primarily with Rick Rubin at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu and Electric Lady in New York.
“It was one of those things where I was like, ‘Yo, I think that we have a classic jam. I just have to get Mike in front of this thing,’ because I already felt like this is incredible, but you never know,” EL-P told Lowe. “You just pray to your rap partner’s going to be like, ‘Yes, I feel this as much as you feel this sh*t.”
“It didn’t take much selling,” Killer Mike adds. “I’m a gang starr, die hard. So, when I heard it, was all on. And Greg Nice, come on man. Nice smooth man. It wasn’t hard to convince me man. This is the party right before everybody leaves or somebody gets beat up”
It is the latest offering to be taken from their highly anticipated fourth album, which is due later this year
