What is an autograph?

From Wikipedia, an autograph is a person’s own handwriting or signature. The word autograph comes from Ancient Greek (αὐτός, autós, “self” and γράφω, gráphō, “write”), and can mean more specifically a manuscript written by the author of its content, or a celebrity’s handwritten signature.

ROXY MUSIC Greatest Hits – Autographed 1975 UK 12-track LP, the band’s first greatest hits collection after their hiatus, housed in the glossy picture sleeve with illustrated discography inner. This copy has been signed on the front by Bryan Ferry and Gary Tibbs, making for a great collectable! The sleeve shows light wear, mainly to the edges, whilst the vinyl has little sign of play.

THE QUIREBOYS A Bit Of What You Fancy – 1990 UK FULLY AUTOGRAPHED 12-track vinyl LP featuring the singles There She Goes Again and 7 o’clock, picture sleeve with illustrated inner. The front of the sleeve has been signed by Spike, Rudy Richman, Guy Griffin, Guy Bailey, Chris Johnstone & Nigel Mogg in silver and gold ballpoint pen.

CLIFF RICHARD Love Songs – Rare Autographed 1981 UK promotional only 6″ x 4″ sized publicity photo Walkerprint, featuring a black & white image of Cliff taken from the album artwork, issued to promote the album release. This has been boldly signed by Cliff at the bottom in a black ball point pen. This was acquired from an ex EMI employee, who worked closely with the record label, their many artists and other labels.

ROISIN MURPHY Hairless Toys – Autographed 2015 UK 8-track LP Audiophile quality 180 Gram Heavyweight Vinyl, glossy picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve has been boldly signed by Roisin Murphy in full across the front in a silver marker pen. The sleeve and vinyl remain near as new and would look superb framed!

T.A.T.U. Autographs – A genuine signed page from an autograph book, boldly signed in blue marker pen by Lena Katina and Julia Volkova from Russian pop duo, t.A.T.u. These signatures were obtained by the previous owner during a signing session. This would look fantastic framed with your favourite album artwork or photograph.

BETH HART War In My Mind – 2019 US limited edition 12-track double LP pressed on 180gm LIGHT BLUE vinyl, complete with download card, fold out poster and very rare autographed postcard, gatefold picture sleeve. This copy remains factory sealed from new and is therefore still mint & unplayed. Limited To Just 500 Copies.
