What is an audiophile pressing?
Well, in a nut shell, it’s an audio format pressed to help enhance the sound quality, be that on vinyl or Compact Disc.
The idea being the heavier the vinyl pressing, the better. There have been pressings released from 120 up to 200 Gram in weight, usually the 200 Gram will play at 45rpm providing a better audio experience, instead of the standard 33 1/3rpm.
Compact Discs have various different formats, gold was used in the earlier pressing as it supposedly provided a better a clearer sound reproduction.
Mobile Fidelity are known for being one of the leaders in producing vinyl and CDs of an audiophile grade, with the original releases now highly collectable.
We now have Super Audio CDs, SHM-CD providing a high-fidelity-audio, Blu-Spec CDs using Blu-ray technology, along with DVD-Audio using DVD technology, both providing surround sound audio.

BON JOVI Bon Jovi: The Albums (2017 UK Deluxe Edition audiophile 25-LP vinyl set comprising a comprehensive career-spanning 17 albums, from their 1984 self-titled debut to 2016’s ‘This House Is Not For Sale’, with some albums included here onvinyl for the very first time plus ‘New Jersey’ changing to a double LP for best possible audio quality and the bonus ‘Extras’ LP featuring a collection of rarities recorded between 2000-2007. Every album preserves the original look andsound of the originals with all jackets exact replicas of the original album cover. BECK Hyperspace (2019 UK Indie Exclusive limited edition 11-track LP, pressed on Audiophile quality 180 Gram Heavyweight Silver Vinyl, his fourteenth studio and most collaborative efforts to date, including thesingles Saw Lightning & Uneventful Days both co-writing and co-produced by Pharrell Williams, also includes See Through co-written/co-produced by frequent Beck collaborator Greg Kurstin, Star is co-written/co-produced by Paul Epworth, Stratosphere features back-up from Chris Martin, the album’s title track features guest vocals from Terrell Hines, and Die Waiting is co-written/co-produced by Cole M.G.N. with backing vocals from Sky Ferreira.
