THE STRANGLERS Live in Kyoto 1979 (Rare original 1979 Japanese promotional only 10″ x 7″ handbill and picture ticket stub for their show at Kyoto Daigaku, Seibu Koudou in Kyoto on 15th December 1979, during their second tour of Japan [they previously played at this venue in February 1979]. The single-sided black and white flyer shows four individual images of the band with their names printed underneath, showing Hugh’s full name ‘Hugh Alan Cornwell’. Also includes a small imageof ‘The Raven’ artwork plus’2nd Gig at Seibu – Just 10 Months After’ and details of the gig in Japanese/English. Also includes a picture ticket stub for the same concert which features a black & white picture of Hugh at their first gig at Seibu. This amazing handbill and ticket set are both in immaculate condition over forty years on).
THE JAM Setting Sons (1979 UK first issue 10-track LP with picture labels, complete with illustrated lyric inner, embossed picture sleeve. The sleeve has been clearly AUTOGRAPHED on the back by Bruce Foxton, Rick Butler & Paul Weller in blue ballpoint pen. Having survived a Jam gig, the sleeve not unsurprisingly shows a few creases and a fair amount of edge scuffing but the signatures are clear and unaffected. The vinyl too has obviously been ‘loved’ and shows many light surface scuffs on both sides but none that interfere with play. This copy is more suited to being part of a wall display than anything else, but it’s a nice chance to get a full set of Jam signatures by the band at their peak at an advantageous price POLD5028).
