As the witching season is upon us and Halloween looms in the horizon, our soundtrack highlights focus on some brooding horror scores. We have the tension building soundtrack to Tobe Hooper’s paranormal endurance test, Poltergeist, Ennio Morricone’s excellent score to the Exorcist II: The Heretic (Don’t let the fact the movie is one of the worst of all time put you off, the score is fantastic) and John Carpenter’s stunning soundtrack to Halloween 2018 on coloured vinyl.

JERRY GOLDSMITH Poltergeist OST (2013 US Limited Edition 13-track remastered double glow in the dark vinyl LP issue of Jerry Goldsmith’s classic 1982 soundtrack to the chilling supernatural horror which was written & produced by Steven Spielberg but directed by Tobe Hooper. Released exclusively for Record Store Day, the hype-stickered gatefold picture sleeve shows just light evidence of shelfwear but the vinyl appears in fantastic ‘barely played’ condition MOND-004).
ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Exorcist II – The Heretic (Sealed 1977 US first press 13-track LP featuring Ennio Morricone’s score from the soundtrack to the horror movie sequel, including the belting Morricone-on-acid, ‘Pazuzu’. The pasted picture sleeve has no deletion cuts & this collector’s copy remains sealed & unopened, the vinyl is mint & unplayed BS3068).
ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Halloween (2018 US limited edition 21-track LP pressed on Orange & Black Starburst Vinyl, featuring music composed, performed and recorded by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies; glossy gatefold picture sleeve with printed inner. Although not sealed, this example remains in a ‘near as new’ condition SBR-213).
