Wilco announce new album, Ode To Joy

Wilco have announced details of their new album, Ode To Joy.

It will be the bands 11th studio album and is due for release on October 4th via dBpm Records. To coincide with albums announcement Wilco have also unveiled the lead single, Love Is Everywhere (Beware).

“There MUST be more love than hate. Right?!,” vocalist Tweedy said in a statement.  “I’m not always positive we can be so sure. In any case, I’m starting to feel like being confident in that equation isn’t always the best motivation formetobemybestself-itcankindofletmeoffthehookalittlebitwhenIthinkIshouldbe striving to contribute more love outside of my comfortable sphere of family and friends. So…I guess the song is sort of a warning to myself that YES, Love IS EVERYWHERE, but also BEWARE! I can’t let that feeling absolve me of my duty to create more.”

Wilco will also play the following UK shows later this year:

26^th September – Barrowlands, Glasgow
27^th September – Albert Hall, Manchester
28^th September – Eventim Apollo, London
