JIMI HENDRIX Classic Hendrix (Very rare 2005 UK Genesis Publications numbered limited Collector’s Edition 292-page superior quality book compiled by Ross Halfin with 250 images drawn from the archives of 34 of the world’s most celebrated rockphotographers – including Jim Marshall, Gered Mankowitz, Baron Wolman, Jean-Pierre Leloir and Elliot Landy, with biographical text by the editor of Guitar World magazine Brad Tolinski, creating the most comprehensive visual memoir of Jimi everpublished. The book numbered #635 is quarter-bound in purple leather with silk-screen printed aluminium boards featuring images of Jimi in fluoro inks, printed on high quality paper edged in prismatic silver and signed by both Ross Halfin & Brad Tolinski. Housed in a black buckram box silk-screen printed with six fluorescent guitar strings across the lid – Yet another magnificent book to the high quality we have come to expect from Genesis)
LED ZEPPELIN Led Zeppelin III (Rare 1970 UK first press 10-track stereo LP on the plum & red Atlantic label with Peter Grant label credit below the album title, ‘Do What Thou Wilt’ / ‘So Mote It Be’ hand-scratched into the run-outs, plus die-cut laminated gatefold sleeve with the unusual front panel top & bottom opening [later issues discarded this]. The sleeve shows only the lightest signs of shelwear with rotating picture wheel in full working order and the print clear and vibrant. The Peter Grant credit (theband’s executive producer) is a very tough pressing to find – this text was absent from all later issues. The labels are clean with just a couple of spindle marks indicating very little play & the vinyl too is clean & shows minimal signs of wear to the grooves and has just a couple of very, very light scuffs – a superb copy of a fantastic rock essential!).
THE IDLE RACE Idle Race (Archive quality rare 1969 UK 11-track Liberty blue label Stereo vinyl LP, the groups second album featuring pre-ELO Jeff Lynne, textured picture sleeve with a pinched spine. The sleeve is still in its opened shrinkwrap, which has kept it Near Mint, whilst the vinyl likewise is Near Mint. A stunning example of this now hard to find pressing which you would be very hard pressed to better! LBS83221).
