Alter Bridge announce sixth album and December 2019 arena tour

Alter Bridge have announced a six-date UK arena tour for December 2019 with very special guests Shinedown and Sevendust.

Taking place in the run-up to Christmas, the Walk The Sky Tour 2019 calls in at Nottingham Motorpoint Arena, Manchester Arena, Glasgow The SSE Hydro, Birmingham Arena, Cardiff Motorpoint Arena and London The O2.

Having wowed on Iron Maiden’s Book of Souls Tour in 2017, Shinedown will return to UK arenas as special guests to Alter Bridge, with alt-metallers Sevendust opening proceedings.

Tickets go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 9am on Friday 21st June.

Alter Bridge in 2019 

Part of a larger European trek, the UK tour supports the Friday 18th October release of Alter Bridge’s eagerly-awaited sixth studio album ‘Walk The Sky’ via Napalm Records.

Boasting 14 new songs, Alter Bridge wrote material for the album over the past years while juggling their other musical ventures including Tremonti, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators and Myles’ solo career.

Earlier this month bassist Brian Marshall took to Twitter to confirm Alter Bridge had finished the album, writing: “AB6 recording and mixing complete. Album artwork looking sick! Cannot wait for you all to hear this.”

Alter Bridge’s last headline UK concert took place at Belfast’s Ulster Hall on 8th October 2017.

Their two shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall earlier on the same tour were later immortalised on the live album and concert film ‘Live at the Royal Albert Hall featuring The Parallex Orchestra’.

Meanwhile, Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators play the Main Stage at Download Festival tonight ahead of headliners Def Leppard. You can see all the stage times here.
